I tried an external card reader connected via USB and the same negative results. Any further action from within windows does not solve the problem. When a sim card is inserted a Windows sound is heard and the 'Installing Device Driver' window shows up but then another window stating the installation was not successful. One of the slots in the reader is for sim cards. It shows up as 4 different drives when I look at 'My Computer' and elsewhere. Any solutions out there? On my PC there is a card reader connected. This was tried with 3 different sim cards. Compatible with Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP, 2000, Windows 95 and 98. Download device drivers for Sunpak 72-IN-1-CR Card Reader. Using Windows 8, I was able to read and write to the SIM cards as needed.
